Tournament Rules

Rules:
Anglers must pre-register for each Tournament. Registration must be completed by 12 noon the Friday prior to the tournament date. Anyone through the age of 15 may participate in the tournaments.  Anglers need to provide their own tackle and only artificial lures may be used (no live bait). There is no entry fee for tournaments. These are all catch & release tournaments. All fish must be released for points to count. Anglers must provide either a weigh bag or cooler to transport live fish to the weigh station. Fishing hours are from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. A maximum of 50 anglers (25 in each age category) will be allowed to fish. Smallfry is through the age of 10 & junior is through the age of 15. There is a 3 fish limit. Only largemouth bass will count. All participants must be accompanied
by an adult at all times. Fishing is restricted to the shore.

Points:
Points will be accumulated from each tournament. Points will be given to each angler for fishing in each tournament even if he/she does not catch any fish. After the last tournament in August all participants’ points will be totaled and the top 20 anglers will be invited to fish the Classic tournament in October. There will be a wild card tournament in September. The top 3 anglers from the wild card will be eligible to fish in the Classic. To be eligible for the wild card tournament, the angler must have fished in two previous tournaments that year.

Award Categories:
First through third place prizes will be awarded in both smallfry & junior age categories in all regular tournaments. In October, at the Classic, the angler with the most points accumulated, will receive the angler of the year prize. The angler that wins the Savannah Kids Fishing Trail Classic will win the 8 ft. Pond Prowler with trolling motor. All tournament committee decisions are final.
